Cedarware, a leader in intelligent connected infrastructure solutions, has successfully completed a global project with longtime partner Subeca to deliver a next-generation Ultrasonic cooling water flow meter for international deployment.
The rollout, targeting commercial installations in the United Kingdom and India, underscores Cedarware’s end-to-end product development capabilities—from hardware design and firmware engineering to mobile integration, cloud services, and RF communications.
The UK phase moved swiftly under CE certification protocols. India, with its unique regulatory landscape, required in-depth adjustments to meet country-specific requirements. Cedarware collaborated closely with global test house and notified body NEMKO to navigate these challenges, achieving full compliance for both CE/CB Scheme and India-specific inspection standards.
Key milestones included:
Performing a regulatory review to define all required certifications
Building a design and development plan with defined schedules and budgets
Updating device firmware and conducting internal pre-tests to streamline lab cycles
Enhancing mobile application functionality to support the updated firmware
Executing comprehensive lab tests
Troubleshooting and retesting perceived non-compliance test scans
Final certification issuance and documentation for global customs clearance
This project is the latest in a five-year partnership between Cedarware and Subeca, during which the two companies have collaborated on multiple advanced metering solutions for the commercial sector.
